In a series of distressing photos shared on social media, Luke revealed the aftermath of a near-fatal accident he suffered on a worksite due to an electric shock.
One of the images depicted a shirtless Luke lying in a hospital bed, his chest adorned with various medical cables. Another haunting picture showcased the aftermath of the electrical burns on the property he was working on, with the cement floor scorched with black burn marks, a grim reminder of the incident’s severity.

Luke and his wife, Jasmin, 39, gained fame and recognition after their impressive fourth-place finish on the 16th season of “The Block” in 2020. The five-bedroom property, which was sold at auction for a whopping $3.856 million, surpassing the $3.35 million reserve, allowed the couple to take home a substantial sum of $506,000. The 1910s Federation home, offered fully furnished, was snapped up after just one showing, testament to the couple’s impeccable renovation skills.
Despite their success on “The Block,” the journey was far from easy. Shortly after exiting the series, Luke and Jasmin revealed that the intense pressure and stress of the show had taken a significant toll on their physical well-being. The couple admitted to losing a substantial amount of weight during the final five weeks, with their families barely recognizing them upon their return.
“Those last five weeks on the show were brutal! When our families arrived, they couldn’t believe how much weight we had lost and called us ‘insomniacs,'” Luke told Woman’s Day, while Jasmin added, “It’s relentless. It’s not normal to be under that amount of stress for such a prolonged period of time.”
