Meanwhile, another workplace drama is brewing at Manta Ray Boards. Mali Hudson (Kyle Shilling) is having second thoughts about hiring Kirby Aramoana (Angelina Thomson). Kirby’s lackadaisical approach to work and her constant criticism of Mali’s friend Mackenzie are testing his patience. Seeking guidance, Mali turns to the wise Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher), who advises him that allowing employees to dictate the rules could lead to mutiny. Taking this advice to heart, Mali resolves to confront Kirby and reassert his authority as her employer.
On a lighter note, Justin Morgan (James Stewart) receives his marriage certificate from celebrant John Palmer (Shane Withington). Eager to celebrate his union with Leah Patterson (Ada Nicodemou), Justin plans a romantic surprise to commemorate their special day. However, his plans may be derailed by Leah’s increased workload at The Diner, caused by the presence of a visiting film crew.
As these storylines unfold, viewers are left wondering how Mackenzie and Felicity will manage Salt without Xander, whether Mali will successfully address the issues with Kirby, and if Justin will find a way to surprise Leah despite her busy schedule.
